In search of the right accommodation, you first have to scour a true jungle of agonizingly boring hotels until you find a decent domicile. That was too stupid for us, so we simply designed our own – and we would like to share with you.

Our non-everyday Viennese Place of Entertainment for non-everyday people offers 26 large rooms and suites in a very neat, classy Gründerzeithaus [tenement from the 19th century] in the heart and centre of Vienna's Old Town. This very personal home opens its door to a maximum of 54 curious and interested travellers at a time.

We celebrate life together, by any allowed and illicit means. You too?

Cinema

Vienna has a clear leadership position in terms of art and culture, not least because of centuries of tradition. Among many other activities, our Robert has also successfully engaged in acting. That is probably one of the reasons why we have an in-house cinema. Yes, you heard right, an in-house cinema.

Take a seat on one of the original cinema seats while scooping a portion of popcorn into yourself before the film has even started. Our recommendation of the house is a Viennese production in black and white: The Third Man. A true classic that plays underground in our beloved capital and is therefore ideally suited to catch a different perspective on Vienna. Curtain up and film off!

If you want to get to know me, you need to know my garden

Garden

If you are one of the lucky ones to call a garden your own, you are in good company. Nothing delights the heart more than seeing flowering plants sprout after a long, cold winter. In summer, it offers gentle protection from the sun’s rays – a cool retreat in the middle of the city. Take a seat in our manicured garden and enjoy an ice-cold beer that flows beguilingly down the palate.

Of course, the garden visit is not only allowed during the day, it also invites you to linger for the cooler evenings. Grab your favourite human and snuggle up together under one of our warming blankets. Add a fitting bottle of wine and nothing stands in the way of a romantic evening for two. Salut!

Infusion please!

Sauna

Anyone who has ever been to a Viennese indoor pool knows this outcry only too well. The sauna master roars it in deafening volume to the hour-long sauna session. It may be even heard all the way to Australia! But fun aside, our in-house sauna offers a cosy retreat during a cold winter's day, completely private and in peace. Without a sauna master and without roars. You can drizzle as much cool water on the hot stones as you like.

You don't have to reserve, but just give our team 15 minutes time for the preparation – and nothing stands in the way of your sauna session. There are bathrobes and large sauna towels in each room. Cooling off is of course also important, so have a cold shower in the sauna area. Accessible daily from 10am to 10pm. We wish you a happy sweating!

Games

Board games are sadly a dying genre, as they are slowly but surely replaced by modern apps and video games. But since we are old-school friends, we have the perfect alternative to pixels for like-minded people - haptic felt surfaces embroidered with game classics such as chess, checkers or backgammon. Fun for the whole family and the respective block gaming pieces complete the arrangement.
